These intaglio and watercolor monoprints combine archetypal imagery with organic forms that hace been derived from ocean life. The flow of the ink and watercolor depict the Sea and its weather, suggesting mood, environment and atmosphere. Each of our individual stories or Fates are fundamentally interconnected within the sea of elements that we all share.
Our Fates Are Connected is a metaphor about how we are intertwined materially, physically, emotionally and spiritually. We share the environment, the world economy, our need for love, and the inevitability of death. It is a scientific reality that can be detected in our air, water, our soil, our blood and our bones.
